Retire Your Retirement Account

The idea is simple: Find the effective tax rate for different situations of retirement, tax-free savings, and taxable accounts, then compare the outcomes based on the differences in expected return for these situations. Sample calculators and charts were developed for the effective tax rate and subsequent results. The conclusions indicated that a retirement account is likely an inferior option due to restrictions of Regulation 28, high fees of the funds, high fees of the platforms, poor active management, high levels of concentration, inefficient implementation, and lack of systematic evidence-based investing.

Orbits Display Font

A custom font providing an informal typography for titles. A logo was also designed for use in the first public iteration of this site. A complete alphabet of glyphs was created, but the actual font was never released.
